Prologue: The Red-Eyed Calamity
After the War of the Gods, both angels and demons vanished from the face of the earth. All that remained were the lingering traces of their power and the scattered descendants who had inherited their blood.
Humans, elves, beastkin, and demonfolk. Different races sharing the same world, yet the word peace always rested on a precarious balance.
And at the very heart of that balance stood the continent’s foremost educational institution.
Arcadia Academy. A cradle of stars where the continent’s most dazzling talents gathered. The place where heroes destined to carve their names into history drew their first breaths.
I was an ordinary college student. At least until that night.
The moment I stepped onto the crosswalk, blinding headlights swallowed my vision. Everything ended in an instant.
……When I opened my eyes again, I was lying in an unfamiliar forest.
At first I thought it was a dream. But as I pushed myself up and looked around, I realized this was no dream at all.
This was not the world I knew.
And the moment I saw my reflection in the lake, that truth became undeniable.
The face staring back at me was mine. Yet it wasn’t the face I remembered. It looked years younger, as if I had returned to my student days. There was, however, one glaring difference.
My eyes.
For some reason, they were dyed a vivid crimson.
……Not long after, I enrolled in a certain academy.
The continent’s greatest educational institution—Arcadia Academy.
And no one yet knew.
That among the new students walked a calamity capable of shattering the world’s fragile balance.
