Harem Clash and the Dimensional Guild's Birth
I decided to hold off on introducing Baekhyang to the other heroines for later.
My head hurts too much to introduce her right now….
I spent the rest of the time enjoying a date with her.
“It’s a shame I can’t see your family, my husband!”
Baekhyang, who wanted to go to my house. But if I took her, Mom would lose her shit, so I didn’t.
“Then, see you later!”
Baekhyang gave her farewell and returned to Murim.
After sending her off, I spent the time quietly.
Though “spent time” just meant I didn’t leave the house.
With all these people swarming around… I don’t wanna go out.
There needs to be a moderate crowd! After holing up in the house for a few days, people started thinning out gradually.
“Yes, preparations are complete.”
The reporters scattered for other scoops, and right on cue, the phone rang from the Awakening Director. Looked like the heroines’ identities and guild setup were ready.
Now I just had to go there, summon them, and show off their powers. Simple….
Oh shit, big problem.
There was something I had to do before heading out.
“Yes, I’ll go tomorrow.” “I’ll send a car if you let me know the time.”
I ended the call with the Awakening Director.
Aigoo, my head….
Thinking about the future made my head throb.
But I have to do it.
Might as well handle what needed doing quickly.
“I’ll be back.”
I told Mom and headed to the clearing in the back mountain. A secluded spot devoid of people.
No one would get caught in the crossfire if we fought there.
“Phew….”
I took a deep breath and summoned Baekhyang. She appeared with a smile and a greeting.
I had her look around.
“I’m gonna summon the others.”
“Your concubines?”
“Yeah.”
Still sticking to that concubine bullshit. Yesterday, she’d been so flustered by the word she’d even switched to formal speech.
“No more ‘concubine’ talk!”
I’d decided to ban it outright today.
“Why not? I am the principal wife, the rest are concubines. That’s only natural.”
Our great Heavenly Demon had some seriously egocentric thinking.
“Anyway, forbidden!”
I gave up on explaining and just banned it. Baekhyang pondered for a moment before replying.
“Very well, since it’s my husband’s request, I’ll comply… but my status as principal wife remains unchanged.”
Was that resolved? Whatever. Time to summon the other heroines.
It’d sort itself out. After agonizing over it since yesterday, I just gave up.
Hope they got along, but if they fought, oh well.
Fights could bring people closer anyway.
Choi Rin and Baekhyang are surprisingly straightforward.
Kang Nabi wouldn’t care. Yvonah was a slave, far removed from wife or concubine drama.
The problem was Cream. She had a bit of a temper—wonder how she’d mesh with Baekhyang.
Whatever! It’ll work out! Summon!
I was done stressing over it. The heroines materialized one by one.
“Sig!”
Cream came running with her usual bright innocence. She spread her arms for a hug, but…
“Halt.”
Baekhyang blocked her path.
“Who are you?”
Cream glared at her with cold eyes.
She already knows.
As the first heroine, she’d clocked the situation fast and realized Baekhyang was my woman.
I am Park Kiyong’s principal wife. Are you his concubine?”
Baekhyang said it with a smirk curling her lips.
Aigoo….
It was blatant provocation. Cream’s eyebrow twitched.
Then a hand landed on Cream’s shoulder. Choi Rin.
“Cream, back off. Fighting’s my thing.”
Choi Rin cracked her knuckles.
“Hoh~ You… you look quite strong.”
Choi Rin earned the Heavenly Demon’s seal of strength. Baekhyang and Choi Rin took their stances.
Fighting it is.
Baekhyang and Choi Rin glared at each other, tension thickening the air.
“Hmm… Sorry, Choi Rin, but she looks stronger.”
Yvonah’s cold analysis.
“What’s this, some kind of dick-measuring contest? Pathetic.”
Kang Nabi scoffed in disbelief.
“You’ve got this!”
Cream cheered for Choi Rin. A moment of silence passed.
Crack!
Choi Rin moved first.
Long story short, Baekhyang won. Choi Rin didn’t go down without a fight.
“Hehe! What a fun woman. Being by my husband’s side won’t be boring.”
She’d earned Baekhyang’s acknowledgment—and some wounds.
“I acknowledge you! Your name?”
“…Choi Rin.”
“Right, Choi Rin! You qualify to stand at the same level as me.”
Baekhyang conveniently dropped the concubine line for Choi Rin.
“So what about the rest of us?”
Kang Nabi, thoughtless as ever. Or maybe spooked by Baekhyang’s power.
“Hmph! Principal wife or concubine, do whatever!”
And Yvonah.
“I am merely Master’s slave. I seek no higher position.”
She’d never vied for wife or concubine status to begin with. That left Cream.
“Bring it!”
Cream raised her staff dramatically.
“Enough.”
I stepped between Cream and Baekhyang, calling it off.
“Baekhyang, this is plenty.”
I’d thought she was dead serious about the hierarchy at first, but no. She’d provoked them on purpose to test if they were worthy of me.
If she’d been serious, Choi Rin wouldn’t have lasted a second.
Choi Rin, the strongest in her own world. Yet she was no match for the Heavenly Demon.
The wounds on Baekhyang were only possible because she’d held back.
And Choi Rin knows it.
That’s why she’d given her name.
“Yes, as my husband says. I’ve seen your fighting spirits well.”
Baekhyang nodded, looking satisfied.
“You there, pink hair. What’s your name?”
“…Cream.”
“That fighting spirit, battling to protect your loved one even knowing the opponent’s strength! I acknowledge it! Cream, you qualify to stand at the same level as me!”
Somehow, it turned into the Heavenly Demon’s acknowledgment ceremony. Cream and Choi Rin stayed quiet.
Not an issue right now, at least.
Show overwhelming power to seize initiative, then acknowledge them to quell complaints.
She’s good at handling people?
Fitting for a demonic cult leader. Anyway, it was resolved for the moment. Good.
“I don’t love any one of you specially. I love you all equally.”
I said it partly because Cream and Choi Rin might harbor some resentment, but mostly to prevent cracks between them.
“So I’d like you all to get along.”
“Tch, get along my ass….”
Kang Nabi grumbled. The rest seemed at least somewhat agreeable.
“Alright, now for the main topic?”
The reason I’d summoned them all at once. I explained their identities and the guild.
“Guild? Like the Hero Office?”
Choi Rin asked, fully healed by Cream.
“Exactly, but we clear dungeons instead of villains. Anyone not into it can pass.”
It’d be great with them, but I wasn’t forcing it.
“I’m out.”
As expected, non-combatant Kang Nabi declined.
“Whatever Master desires.”
Yvonah agreed. And predictably, the rest did too.
“I’ll summon you again tomorrow, so show your power.”
Despite the Baekhyang-Choi Rin scuffle, the first guild meeting(?) wrapped up smoothly.
The next day, I rode the car sent by the Awakening Director to the bureau.
“Hoho, human-type summons, really….”
The director and Kang Hamchan gawked at the heroines materializing before their eyes.
Why’s the old geezer here?
He looked like he’d come just to spectate out of boredom. Creating their identities was a breeze.
Choi Rin: top A-rank. Baekhyang: S-rank or higher.
Cream: rare healer. Plus utility buffs.
The director, who’d looked troubled at my initial request, now beamed.
“Hohoho! Such talents in Korea!”
He called it a dream come true. And Kang Hamchan eyed Baekhyang hungrily.
The old man’s the same type… battle maniac.
“No fighting.”
I shut that down hard. He looked disappointed but didn’t push.
The IDs came out quick.
“Hoh, this tiny thing represents my identity?”
Choi Rin, already clued in, pocketed hers indifferently. Cream, Baekhyang, and Yvonah stared at the small cards in wonder.
“Guild setup’s done once you pick a name. We’ve prepared the building.”
Too much gov support felt off….
They’ll ask for a favor later.
Something using this building. I’d take it as advance payment.
“Got a name?”
“Yes.”
I’d decided on it while planning the guild.
“Dimensional Guild.”
A guild for me and my heroines. Filled with people from other dimensions.
Hence, Dimensional Guild.
“You don’t mean… ‘dimensional’ as in from other dimensions, right?”
The director misunderstood, but…
No need to correct it.
And it wasn’t wrong. Me and other hunters were on different levels.
I just smiled quietly. Guild founding and registration done, we left the bureau.
“Date for the rest of the day?”
It ended up excluding just Kang Nabi, but we went on a date. Took Baekhyang—who didn’t know games—to the arcade.
Showed her Korean fried chicken too.
“Nom nom! Delicious! The mountain samgyetang was good, but this chicken’s on another level!”
Baekhyang loved it. She downed three chickens right there.
Packed ten more for her new elders. After a full date, we parted ways.
Heading home, my vision suddenly went dark.
“Wh-what the hell!”
The feeling of accepting a commission. But I hadn’t taken any.
Clueless, I was kidnapped to another dimension.
