The Low-Chat Money Train and the Great Influx Purge
Still, the chat keeps flowing, and my mouth is itching so bad I can't hold back. I just have to tell the angels... and the Jjangies about this hilarious bit right away. I turn on the stream immediately. I gotta share this... yeah, I'll spread the word perfectly. Uhuhu. Perfect. Awesome. They're all gonna freak out. Oh, oh. Wait. Right. First things first.
"Hey everyone, hi! Quick heads-up: no games today. No games, so you don't have to go on walkies!"
I've got zero plans to game today. No editor around either, and I blew through low-chat the day before yesterday and yesterday just gaming nonstop. If I game again today, the chat window's gonna explode. For the walkie dogs who bail the second I start a game, I give the warning upfront. Why? The early birds come for low-chat scraps—they're low-chat dogs rushing in early to snag some. Streaming's taught me their culture, directly and indirectly.
Some folks are bummed out ? Hmm. Time for a poll! "You bummed?"
The reactions explode.
Not a single good chat in sight. Then why'd you hit "bummed" to get my hopes up! The public opinion's too negative—I can't fight it.
"Got it. Low-chat only today!"
... Stream time: 3 hours, 32 minutes, 57 seconds. Shouldn't have announced it.
"Whoa~ whoa..." At 30 minutes in? I announced it, but three hours later, it's still going. The angels have quelled the chat window, but... donations are still raging. Honestly, though? It's kinda nice. Just watching these braindead bits makes me money. And the occasional funny humor's a blast. But like a pearl in the mud—most of it's unfunny braindead spam. They start with lololol, kya~, but now they're exhausted: yep, yes, go ahead. But here's the issue. It makes money. Makes bank, so hard to stop. 1,000 won, 5,000, 10,000... pouring in. How can I say "no more braindead donations"? Gaming? 8 hours nets 50k, 60k won, and even that's for snarky advice at 1k pops. Now? 150k per hour... over 450k already. How can I tell 'em to stop? And get this—the haters donate too. So I rake it in from both sides!
"Ah, no! Not at all. I think it's fun. Uhahahahaha. Fun. But... shall we switch topics?" What to talk about? Got nothing prepped. Even if I did, I'd have forgotten it all! No way I saw three hours of braindead low-chat coming. Hmm... what to say? What to do?
"Ah! Oh. Right. Yeah."
I open YouTube. Right—brag time. Gotta brag, right? Huh? Was mid-40k earlier, now 42.2k. "Guys, was 40k earlier, now up 2k more. Insane. Look at this, everyone. Let's hit 50k! We're blowing up, right? You all saw?"
"Famous now. Stinky old viewers? No way. Being famous is great. Why? And... I'll do that event too! Phone event! When we get famous!"
"Eek?!" True? More people ups the odds, might not win. Didn't think of that.
"Burger? Burger event?" Plans are a luxury for me. Just go with the flow, and boom—first-ever burger event kicks off. Super simple for viewers: just chat, links to the gacha roll. Top 10 winners get burgers, three sets... 30 people total.
"Ready? Go go?"
"No... 10k won... just buy your own, dummy?!" Real dummy? Just buy it yourself.
"Hmm... okay... got it! Noting it down. But no clue when—might starve to death!" Gotta send it. They're hungry.
"No... thank you, Stamina-san. Thanks to you, two more angels get to eat!" That cash goes to burgers—two extra angels now. "Starting now, let's go?!"
... Stream time: 7 hours, 41 minutes, 20 seconds. Did some grinding, but event smashed. End time's closing in. Just mindless low-chatting when...
"Everyone calm down..." Why the sudden rage? Angels I can control, but Jjangies? No chance. They even bite the hand that feeds—scares me sometimes! They ignore me. Even with the banhammer lately for management, no change. Try to fix it, nothing. Jjangies flip it: 'Like the streamer ', 'Seon-ah you do it ', 'Owner's fault lol'. Infuriating chats. I don't do that. I'm nice, thoughtful, super considerate!
"Still, no getting mad—welcome the influx warmly. Good chats only, please."
"Why hate it?" Chats flood in.
"I never made that stream culture! When did I say purge influx? Never! Let's welcome influx warmly and help 'em settle!" Influx is key. Don't you game? Newbies keep it alive. Influx... is the future... dot!!
Huh? What? Amount's weird? Misread? I rub my eyes, check again. No, whoa. Huge. First time seeing this. Wow! What the?! "W-wow...!! Th-thank you! Why drop this bomb on me... wow... first time..."
Influx must be protected. Tiny souls to nurture. But from my mouth...
From my mouth... "Purge the influx!!!! Thank you!!" Future? Screw it! Now matters! Eee! Don't care! "Purge influx! Purge! Thank you! So grateful. First huge donation... uh. Thank you." No clue what to do... somehow Lara 2 fires up like possessed...!
"No no... didn't know what to do, hit it by mistake. Why'd I even?" Already on—feels wasteful to close. Wanna show off my grown char. No choice. "Since it's on, quick peek?"
My grown Arena World char. Daily grinds, steady rolls—top 1% now. Higher needs mad grinding, so parked. "Grinded a ton, right? Anyone know real PvP drop?"
Chat shifts instantly. Spam fades, angels' game chats rise.
"Ooh, when it drops... hmm... tournament maybe?" Sudden content idea. Small tourney? Friendly one... prize from donations? Fun watch. Real goal: flex my knowledge as caster. Announce tips galore. Try small-scale? With who? Guild or angels? Hmm. Chat wants streamers. Streamers tough—need players to beg. Who? None do it. They're fakes, only for ads. Don't wanna lose memories to fakes!! No!!
"I'll think about it. Anyway—thanks for watching today! See ya tomorrow!"
Blasted past 8 hours. Low-chat over 8 overloads the brain. But we did it. Today's low-chat was packed. Spilled tons of words, got ideas, great comms, pure fun.
