Chapter 150
Ryu Jaehee paused, letting the silence hang in the air before sighing deeply and continuing.
"Remember how Altair's song leaked recently?"
Everyone nodded. Altair had been thrown into chaos by the leak—a 20-second instrumental snippet had surfaced on YouTube.
Of course, we'd all morally refrained from listening, only to later realize it was Reve's song from before the regression, leaving us feeling like we'd been slapped upside the head.
"Still, it was only 20 seconds. They spun it as a blessing in disguise, turning crisis into opportunity, and even used it for promotion. Who knows if it was a genuine leak or just noise marketing? Only their agency knows the truth."
Ryu Jaehee shrugged sarcastically and continued, his tone dripping with cynicism.
"But now, the entire song has been uploaded to an illegal sharing site. The problem is, the timing is suspiciously close to the Altair leak, so we're being ridiculed for allegedly copying Altair's noise marketing strategy."
I ground my teeth involuntarily. Anyone with half a brain could see that the potential damage far outweighed any possible benefits, rendering it completely ineffective as a marketing tactic.
"What kind of insane agency would upload an entire song to an illegal site for noise marketing?"
Even though LnL was clueless and still clung to its "Dirt-Poor Agency" mentality, they weren't that brainless.
But that probably didn't matter to them.
"We've launched a mass reporting campaign against the illegal post, but as you know, once something spreads like this, it's impossible to fully contain. Redistribution is inevitable... so a hit to our chart performance seems unavoidable."
"Fuck!"
I hurled the cushion beside me onto the floor, cursing under my breath.
Why did it have to be against I, of all people?!

The atmosphere in the dorm instantly froze over, turning icy and tense. Gyeon Hajun let out a short sigh and lightly patted my shoulder, as if to tell me to calm down.
Just then, the bathroom door swung open, and Seo Yehyeon emerged with a towel draped around his neck.
Seo Yehyeon, looking completely unfazed by the tense atmosphere, casually shook his wet hair. He glanced at me, still fuming and muttering, and asked, "What's with him?"
Kim Dobin scurried over and whispered something in Seo Yehyeon's ear.
After hearing the full story, Seo Yehyeon glanced at the discarded cushion before turning back to me.
Seo Yehyeon shook the water from his still-damp hair, draped a towel around his neck, and said to me in a serious tone, "I get why you're pissed, and I get why you're pissed, but stop throwing things and cursing. Can't you see the kids are scared? You're the leader. You need to be the calmest one."
At first, I was furious, thinking he was giving me some patronizing lecture without understanding the situation. But after listening, I realized he was right.
Even though I wrote the song, "Come to My Universe," I wasn't the only one suffering the consequences.
Of course, considering the copyright royalties, I stood to lose the most. But the other Reve members and our agency were also victims.
Besides, this leak would split the hype for our teaser, which hadn't even been released yet.
I glanced at Ryu Jaehee, frozen beside me, and Kim Dobin, still nervously watching my reaction. I apologized without hesitation.
"I'm sorry."
My apology eased the tense atmosphere slightly.
As I gathered the cushions I had thrown, Manager Hyung called to tell me he was waiting downstairs. I tossed the cushions back onto the sofa and hurried out.
When we arrived at the agency, the staff were rushing around frantically, clearly in a state of emergency.
"We need to move up the release date," the CEO said, his eyes hollow. "Let's launch it tomorrow."
The original plan was to release Seo Yehyeon's teaser, followed by the offline release of our third mini-album, Other Side, the next day. The full music video and all tracks were to be released online and on mobile platforms simultaneously.
But the illegal leak had thrown everything off from the start.
"Have you traced the source of the leak?" I asked, my voice subdued.
The CEO rubbed his forehead wearily.
"We're already investigating. It's either from the choreography video we submitted to the broadcasting station or an internal leak..."
What, is this some kind of Schrödinger's spy? We can't know if it's an external or internal leak until we open the box?Typical Dirt-Poor Agency—they still haven't figured this out?
Ryu Jaehee pulled up the leaked audio on his phone and shook it as he replied, "It doesn't seem like an extraction. The audio quality is too crisp and clear. They uploaded the original track file."
"Then it's internal."
The CEO, who had been resting his chin in his hand, suddenly slammed his fist on the desk and shot to his feet.
"Premature accusations are dangerous! I'll find the leaker myself, so you focus on preparing for the comeback. Understood?"
Facing that reassuring smile, I sighed inwardly.
Wow, I really don't trust this at all.
Despite the leaked audio, Yehyeon's teaser was released the next day as scheduled.
Reve - 'Reverse' Official Teaser #YEHYEON ver.
The thumbnail showed Yehyeon removing his helmet.
The video opened with a figure wearing a black helmet and racing jacket speeding down a nighttime road, accompanied by a dynamic drumbeat.
The motorcycle, which had been tearing through the road, screeched to a halt.
Leaning against the bike, Yehyeon removed his helmet, his platinum-blonde hair cascading down to reveal his bare face.
Slinging a bag casually over his shoulder, Yehyeon entered a building and emerged moments later, the bag gone.
Donning his helmet again, he sped down the road and pressed the remote control button.
Boom! With a deafening roar, the exploding building unfolded behind him like a backdrop.
The screen went black, and the changed time and date appeared:
REVE – Reverse
05.10.TUE PM 6:00
- No cap, I held my breath without realizing it when he took off his helmet and showed his face.
- Why does it feel like my head exploded when the bomb clearly went off in the building?
- Seo Yehyeon's platinum blonde hair should be preserved forever.
Simultaneously with the final teaser release, the official audio track was launched on music streaming platforms.
#78 - New 'Reve – Reverse' ♥48,102
Whether due to the full album leak or not, the title track, "Reve – Reverse," debuted at #78 immediately after its release.
Considering that their full album, Come to My Universe, had debuted at #20 and their previous single, I, at #31, this was a seriously disappointing performance.
#69 - NEW 'Reve - Moon's Other Side' ♥27,245
In fact, the B-side track, "Moon's Other Side," was ranking higher than the title track, "One Chance."
The earliest fans, who had endured the near-dark age of Come to My Universe, were surprisingly relaxed, even making dark jokes about how this was still better than being completely blacklisted from the charts back then.
However, newer fans who had joined after Reve had established themselves were shocked by these unprecedented results.
Just when tensions were already high, an incident erupted that poured fuel on the fire.
Is this Reve's part distribution fair?
I've held back for so long, but after seeing this latest song, it's clear that "the producer" has no intention of improving things. So I'm finally writing this post.
Part Distribution and Length:
1st: Yuje - 48.7 seconds2nd: Eden - 46.2 seconds3rd: Hajun - 45.9 seconds4th: Dobin - 29.5 seconds5th: Yehyeon - 19.7 seconds
1. Even including shared parts, Yehyeon's solo lines are practically nonexistent.
2. How can the Main Rapper get the same amount of lines as the Main Vocalist? Since when was Eden the only rapper in the group?
3. It's obvious they're trying to compensate for Yehyeon's lack of lines by giving him the "killing part."
Don't pretend this is just for this comeback. Before, Yehyeon's parts were less than 15 seconds!

It was a post from a Seo Yehyeon individual fan, expressing dissatisfaction with the part distribution.

Are you a communist or something? You fucking love socialism.
Are we really going to have to apply a quota system to song parts now, dividing them down to the second?

But honestly, isn't this true...? It's so annoying when someone claims to have produced a song and then hogs all the parts for themselves.

Eden, you fucking bastard! I don't even want to hear your rap. If you're going to give Yehyeon such a shitty part, at least cut down your own rap sections first.
Every time I sing your rap part at karaoke, it pisses me off.

[Entertainment Chat] My Honest Opinion on Reve's Part Distribution Issue

Personally, I think SYH's current part distribution is perfect.
He maintains a strong stage presence without being too distracting during the listening experience.
It seems like the Producing Member YED has been making an effort to be fair too. In the past, GHJ used to get all the killing parts, but this time they gave the killing part to SYH.
People keep comparing SYH's parts to YED's and demanding that YED's parts be reduced and given to SYH. But even in the YouTube "One Chance" audio video, the comment praising YED for switching from "chanting sutras" to "real hip-hop" has over 4,000 likes.
How could I possibly hand over YED's rap part to SYH?
Honestly, even if SYH's parts were increased, only his individual fans would be happy. The all-fans and fans of other members wouldn't welcome it, since it would lower the musical quality.
Reve is a group that pushes forward with their musicality and live performance skills, not as a performance group. Everyone agrees they're lacking in that area, right?
Any Reve fan knows SYH struggles with the choreography. Don't they ever think about the live performances?

- I feel bad for Yoon Eden's nephew. Considering Yoon Eden's personality and musical pride, it's amazing he even gave Seo Yehyeon that much of a part. Now he's just getting all the blame as the producer because of a member who lacks skill.
- Take the killing part. We didn't even make the choreography too difficult, thinking of him. How much more consideration do his fans need to be satisfied?
- The funniest thing is people saying Yoon Eden should leave Reve to stop "muddying the waters." Yoon Eden's Team without Yoon Eden? LOL. I'm genuinely curious how many people would still listen to their songs if Seo Yehyeon's rap part suddenly became a full minute after Yoon Eden leaves.
- Seriously, did we ask for specific minute allocations? Or for them to take away the Main Rapper and Main Vocalist's parts and give them to us? Is it really that hard to just give our boy a few more seconds of screen time?
└ And why are you conveniently ignoring how much Yehyeon's dancing has improved? He's way past the point where people can criticize his dancing skills now.
└Compared to his debut days, our Yehyeon's dancing and singing skills have improved tremendously. It breaks my heart to see him dragged out and criticized for his skills every time something like this happens. ㅠ
└It's just that the other members' skills are on another level. Yehyeon doesn't stand out negatively anymore and performs at an average level.
└Look at how they conveniently avoid mentioning his rapping skills. ㅋㅋ
-I don't understand why fans are getting so worked up. If Seo Yehyeon's parts are small, she just needs to improve her skills!
-Wow, look at all those downvotes! ㄷㄷ The Yehyeon Fans have swarmed in.
└Even SYH's home master started publicly bashing YED on their official account. What do you expect?
-Why are they subtly downplaying Reve's performance? ㅋㅋㅋ I could understand if this was before, but after seeing the stage, it's unbelievable that people are still saying such things.

I can't stand listening to the Yehyeon Fans whining anymore. Don't they ever get tired of complaining since their debut?
If you don't want your oppa to be sidelined, then tell him to improve his skills! Why are you harassing innocent Producing Members instead?

I don't understand? OMG, Yehyeon Fans, did you guys eat something bad?
My baby is the lead vocalist, yet he's constantly pushed to the back because he's not the main dancer, main vocalist, main rapper, or visual?

The haters are crawling out like cockroaches now that they see an opportunity. This is why I said we needed to crack down on them hard from the beginning, OMG!
They can't even unite for a streaming campaign, yet they're busy comparing part distributions and dragging other members by the hair in this situation, OMG OMG!

Daydream, a fandom already known for its unusually high proportion of individual fans compared to other groups, was on the verge of fracturing like a dropped puzzle.
Just in time, an incident occurred that would unite them.
