Kang Sihyuk was dragged to the Demon Realm as a teenager and spent centuries fighting until he eventually became its Demon King.

He had only one thing left to wish for: retirement.

So when the Hero finally defeated him, Sihyuk accepted his death without complaint.

Then he woke up on Earth.

Only twelve years had passed.

With the Hunter Association registering him as a powerless non-Awakened, Sihyuk decides to keep his head down and enjoy the peaceful life he never had. His hidden treasury gives him enough money to eat well, sleep late, and do absolutely nothing.

Unfortunately, staying out of trouble proves harder than expected.

After accidentally destroying a criminal syndicate while defending himself, Sihyuk attracts the attention of powerful Hunters and guilds. Meanwhile, his former subordinates in the Demon Realm discover that their King is still alive, and start looking for a way to bring him home.

Sihyuk just wants to rest.

Apparently, everyone else has other plans.
